Financial Analyst – Charlotte, NC (hybrid)

The Financial Analyst supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team by leading budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, improving scalable processes, and strengthening decision-making across the organization.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of scalable budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly financial deliverables, including management reports, board materials, and executive summaries for internal leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., private equity partners).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance drivers, incorporating business insights into forecasts and providing detailed variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Maintain and support day-to-day administration of the FP&A planning system (Adaptive), ensuring data integrity and alignment with accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to support workforce planning, headcount analysis, and compensation-related reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information and communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning systems and data visualization tools is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of professional experience (internships or relevant coursework plus)

Base salary range : $70,000 - $85,000

The base salary rate will be commensurate with previous experience and relevant skills and knowledge.

This position includes additional variable compensation in the form of an annual bonus opportunity.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans, some with an Employer HSA contribution), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits, basic life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and PTO consisting of 10 holidays, 5 sick days (or more if required by law in the state/locality where you work), 15+ days of vacation (based on tenure), bereavement leave, and 6-8 weeks paid maternity/disability leave and 2-4 weeks paid parental leave (based on tenure).
