Financial Analyst

Position Summary
Vista Markets is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the company’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and business analysis across multiple grocery store locations and departments. This position works closely with management to help monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data, sales trends, and operational performance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
• Review profit margins, labor costs, inventory performance, and department expenses
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for store operations
• Assist with bank reconciliations and financial record accuracy
• Support invoice, accounts payable, and accounts receivable review processes
• Identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or areas requiring further review
• Assist management with financial research and special projects
• Maintain spreadsheets, reports, and financial databases
• Work with department managers to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Ensure confidentiality of company financial information
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field preferred
• Previous financial analysis, accounting, retail, or business experience preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills
• Ability to interpret financial reports and data
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to move between office and store locations as needed

• Fast-paced, multi-store operation
• May require occasional travel between store locations
