Financial controller

Giza, Egypt

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Supervise accounting staff and ensure accuracy in accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve efficiency, profitability, and decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
  • Support strategic planning, risk management, and corporate governance initiatives.
  • Assist with financial modeling and business case development for new projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification (strongly preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or controller-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
