Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial health and integrity of our organization. This role is critical in a vast, fast-paced environment and requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex financial operations. The incumbent will be responsible for the entire ambit of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and financial risk management. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Controller will lead the accounting team and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or applicable local GAAP.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and profitability improvement.

- Present financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

- Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits.

- Design, implement, and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

- Ensure strict compliance with all statutory requirements, tax laws (Corporate Tax, VAT/Sales Tax, Withholding Tax), and corporate regulations.

- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures that align with the organization's objectives and scale.

- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.

- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis to guide operational adjustments.

- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds for company operations and strategic initiatives.

- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment portfolios in conjunction with the treasury function.

- Evaluate and enhance financial systems (ERP) and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within a large organization.

- Lead or participate in finance-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and process automation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Essential: Master’s degree in Financial Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.

- Preferred: Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

- Minimum 5 to 6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.

- Proven track record of working in a large, complex, or multinational organization with high transaction volumes.

- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity, leading a team.

- Deep knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.

- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas).

- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate a team.

- High level of integrity, ethics, and professional skepticism.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
