Financial Controller

Education and Experience:

· Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

· At least 5 years’ post qualification experience.

· Experience of Big 4 Firm is a must.

· Experience in the insurance industry is preferable.

Key Responsibilities (Functional Competencies)

· Manage finance function of the Company

· Review and design the finance processes

· Ensure effectiveness of finance services to stakeholders

· Assist management in financial decision making

· Advise management on financial implications of projects and initiatives

· Review monthly MIS, budgets, financial statements

· Liaise with external auditors, banks, consultants

· Review financial risks and advise management for corrective actions

· Review periodic solvency position and take necessary actions

· Manage working capital of the Company and ensure efficiency of funds utilized

· Tax Planning and compliance

· Review BOD meeting papers

· Participate in BOD meetings and present business performance

· Manage investment portfolio in accordance with Investment Policy and Guidelines

· Ensure that all team members possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively by providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and skill development opportunities to each team member.

Internal: Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Procurement departments
