Financial Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial operations for a regulated investment entity. This is a mid‑senior level operational role with high visibility across the organization. You will be responsible for cross‑border reporting, IFRS compliance, and financial planning, providing the insights that shape executive decision‑making

This position offers exposure to a dynamic investment environment, working closely with senior leadership, auditors, and regulators, while ensuring governance standards are met across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage finance and accounting operations for the investment entity.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of filings to capital markets and other regulatory bodies.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle, including variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Strengthen internal controls and align processes with best practices in regulated financial environments.
• Collaborate with investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless reporting and decision‑making support.
• Liaise with auditors and external advisors to maintain transparency and accuracy in financial disclosures.
• Present financial insights and reports to senior management and the board of directors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a financial role, including at least 2 years within a financial or banking institution
• Solid understanding of IFRS and corporate financial reporting requirements.
• Experience in a regulated sector; knowledge of GCC regulatory frameworks is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
