Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and well-spoken Financial Counselor to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding patients and their families regarding treatment cost estimates, payment options, insurance coverage, and financial policies to ensure smooth billing and clearance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate cost estimates for procedures, admissions, and treatments.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding hospital billing policies and payment plans.
• Coordinate with Billing, Admission, and Insurance departments for financial clearance.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain coverage details to patients.
• Ensure completion of all financial documentation prior to admission or discharge.
• Handle patient queries related to invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient financial information.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and financial procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or relevant field.
• 1– year of experience in hospital billing, insurance coordination, or financial counseling (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of medical billing and insurance processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Proficiency in MS Office and hospital management systems.
