Fire Fighting Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Develop detailed layouts for fire alarm systems, water-based suppression systems, and smoke control systems.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all systems meet local, state, and national fire safety regulations (e.g., NFPA standards).
• Project Management: Oversee installation, conduct site inspections, review contractor submittals, and manage budgets.
• Testing & Maintenance: Perform, inspect, and test fire safety equipment to ensure functionality.
• Analysis: Conduct fire risk assessments and analyze building structures for fire hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), knowledge of fire codes, and strong project management skills.
• Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license is often required for senior positions.
