Fire Fighting Pump Technician (Installation, Testing & Commissioning)

We are seeking an experienced Fire Fighting Pump Technician responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire pump systems including jockey pumps, electrical pumps, and diesel-driven pumps. The technician will ensure that fire pump systems operate reliably and meet all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and set up fire fighting pump systems in pump rooms.
• Perform testing and commissioning of fire pump systems.
• Operate and test jockey pumps, electric fire pumps, and diesel fire pumps.
• Check pump pressure, flow rate, and system performance.
• Inspect and maintain control panels, valves, pressure switches, and piping.
• Troubleshoot and repair pump system faults.
• Ensure all work complies with local fire safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams during installation and testing.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire Safety Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in firefighting, pump installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of jockey pump, electrical pump, and diesel pump operations.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with fire protection systems and pump room layout.
• Understanding of safety procedures and fire protection standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fire protection systems and pump room commissioning.
• Knowledge of pressure testing and flow testing procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical pump issues.
