Firefighter

The City of Morganfield is currently accepting applications for a full time Firefighter position. Applications may be picked up during regular business hours from 8:00am - 4:00pm at the Morganfield Fire Department located at 120 E Main St.

Applications will be accepted until the close of business on April 17, 2026.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a United States Citizen
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Have a current up to date CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) Card
• Pass a Fire Department physical
• Pass a criminal background check
• Have a current Kentucky driver's license
• High School Diploma or state approved equivalent
• If not Kentucky Basic 2 certified, chosen applicant will be sent to Kentucky Fire Academy for 13 weeks for certification

Basic Benefits:

• Annual $4,000 state incentive pay (once 400 hours training is complete

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 per week
