Firefighting Engineer- FM

Location: Doha, Qatar
Experience Required: 6-8 Years (GCC experience mandatory)
Certification Required: QCDD Certified, UPDA Certified.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighting Engineer with a strong background in Facilities Management (FM) to join our operations in Doha. The ideal candidate will possess a valid QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense Department) certification and a Mechanical Engineering degree. You will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance of all firefighting and life safety systems across multiple commercial and residential assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• FM & Maintenance: Oversee the PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and corrective maintenance of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, FM200, Novec 1230, foam systems, and fire hose reels.
• Compliance: Ensure all assets comply with QCDD, NFPA, and Qatar Fire & Life Safety codes.
• QCDD Liaison: Act as the company’s technical representative for QCDD inspections, renewals, and annual certifications. Respond to Civil Defense snags and observations promptly.
• Testing & Inspection: Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual flow tests, hydrostatic tests, and battery backups for fire alarm control panels (FACP).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical faults in diesel/electric fire pumps, jockey pumps, and valve configurations.
• Documentation: Maintain QCDD-mandated logbooks, generating risk assessments and method statements (RAMs) for high-risk activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification: Active QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense) & UPDA Certified is a MUST
• Experience: 6-8 years of total experience, with minimum 5 years in the GCC
