Fit Out Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities related to interior fit-out and finishing works.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Monitor project progress and report site status regularly.
• Ensure quality control procedures and inspection requirements are followed.
• Coordinate fit-out activities with MEP and structural teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues at site.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Monitor manpower productivity and subcontractor performance.
• Assist in inspections, snagging works, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Maintain proper documentation and site records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior fit-out works within a construction or contracting company.
• Experience in commercial, residential, or office fit-out projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of finishing works such as:
• Gypsum and ceiling systems
• Flooring and tiling
• Painting and finishes
• Joinery and carpentry
• Basic MEP coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and construction standards.
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices and site procedures is an advantage.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (required).
• Arabic and Chinese language skills are an advantage for coordination with multinational teams.
