Job Summary:
The Fleet Coordinator has the overall responsibility for the organization, cleanliness and general maintenance of Nextlink’s fleet of vehicles.
Essential Functions:

- Supervise and report on company fleet including asset tracking, GPS and maintenance
- Renew all vehicle and trailer registrations
- Title changes when needed
- Acquire trip permits or Apportioned Plates as needed
- Maintain vehicle and driver data, ensure all information is current and accurate
- Make sure fleet vehicles have proper safety/emergency equipment
- Coordinate with Accounting on Wex Card issuance and replacement as needed
- Coordinate and follow through on approved fleet repairs
- Manage driver changes, (planned or unplanned)
- Proactively coordinate fleet units to be serviced to minimize downtime
- Keep up with all vehicle registration and inspections
- Transfer vehicles to and from service centers, vendors and company offices as needed
- Help with fleet maintenance and roadside assistance as needed
- Compiles and analyzes fleet services data; generates and submits a variety of departmental reports pertaining to vehicle repairs, current usage, fuel history, and parts acquisition/inventory
- Work with Insurance company and collision centers to manage accident claims and repairs
- Other duties may be assigned
- Responds to requests for service and completes or assigns requested work and completes appropriate tracking documentation
- Request and complete applications for credit accounts with vendors
- Maintain electronic and paper files on company vehicles and equipment
Skills:
- Great attention to detail, highly organized, and able to prioritize work tasks
- Must be a self-starter that is able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of MS office and basic use of Internet databases
- Experience with record keeping and scheduling preferred
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance needs and DOT regulations preferred
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license

- Working in office indoor environment and occasionally outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind

- High level of interaction with external/internal clients
Physical Demands:
- Stationary position for 8-10 hours a day
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.
- To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. Daily movements include sitting, standing, operating computers and other office equipment and moving about the office. The employee must be able to communicate via email and verbally via telephone.
