Mariposa is looking for the right candidate to join our Fleet department as a Fleet Manager at our Glendale, AZ location.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT:
- Full responsibility for all Fleet operations by managing labor, materials, time, and customer expectations efficiently;
- Plans, directs, and organizes the activities of the shop staff by providing repair, maintenance, inspection, inventory, and assignment services related to landscape equipment (e.g., mowers, weed-eaters, hedge trimmers), construction equipment (e.g., trenchers, skid steers, stake pounders), related tools (e.g., pruners, saws, loppers), and vehicles;
- Directs the development and implementation of policies, procedures, plans, and performance goals;
- Ensures that all safety laws, policies, and practices are adhered to by shop staff;
- Manage personnel and equipment to meet maintenance and operational needs;
- Review reports;
- Ensures purchasing, delivery, and material processing are completed correctly;
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards;
- Solicit feedback to improve current business processes;
- Maintain service logs and records of maintenance for all equipment;
- Attend weekly safety meetings;
- Demonstrates a professional understanding of chemicals, hazardous substances, and OSHA compliance;
- Interviews, hires, trains, disciplines, evaluates, motivates, and recognizes subordinate employees;
- Utilize computer skills, information technology, and MS Office applications effectively;
- Provide excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to shop personnel, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
Desirable Skills and qualifications:
- License: Valid class C driver’s license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this job classification, is required at the time of appointment.
- Certifications: ASE Certifications as requested by Management.
- Language: Though not required, basic bilingual English and Spanish skills are desired of this classification
- 5 years Fleet Management experience
