Western Landscape, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our high-performance team. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light- and medium-duty trucks (F-150/F-250, dump trucks), trailers (utility, enclosed, dump), commercial mowing equipment, small engine equipment, and compact equipment (mini skid steers, mini excavators, loaders).

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across the fleet.

Handle repairs involving engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.

Perform welding, fabrication, and field-ready fixes as needed.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations where applicable.

Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and identify potential issues to prevent costly downtime.

Maintain accurate service records using a fleet management program.

Assist in developing and improving maintenance schedules and equipment lifecycle plans.

Communicate equipment status and repair timelines clearly with leadership.

Respond to field breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimize crew downtime.

Assist with seasonal equipment changeovers.

Follow OSHA and company safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Ensure all equipment is safe and job-ready before release.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment.

Properly handle fuels, oils, batteries, and other materials in accordance with safety standards.

High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.

13+ years of hands-on mechanic experience (fleet, diesel, or small engine preferred).

Strong working knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, small engine repair, and trailer/brake systems.

Ability to troubleshoot quickly and work independently.

Experience using diagnostic tools and service manuals.

Valid CA drivers license required in good standing.

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Hand tools are provided

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in both shop and field conditions.

Experience with brands such as Ditch Witch, Takeuchi, Scag, Vermeer, Toro, Echo, Stihl, John Deere, or Honda is a plus.

Preferred but not required: ASE Certifications (A-Series or T-Series), DOT Inspector Certification, Small Engine Certification, Welding Certification, EPA 609 (A/C systems).
$23 - $35 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for growth.
