Floral Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and skilled Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral design and an eye for detail, capable of creating stunning arrangements for various occasions. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The Floral Designer will also assist with merchandising and maintaining the overall aesthetic of the floral department.

Duties

• Create beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, events, and everyday occasions based on customer preferences and trends.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections and offering expert advice on care and maintenance.
• Maintain inventory levels by stocking flowers, plants, and supplies as needed, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, including cash handling and processing sales accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a well-organized workspace and visually appealing displays that attract customers.
• Assist in landscape maintenance and gardening tasks as needed, contributing to overall store operations.
• Engage in e-commerce activities by managing online orders and ensuring timely fulfillment.

Skills

• Proficient in floral design techniques with a strong understanding of horticulture and plant care.
• Experience in retail sales, including cashiering, merchandising, and customer service.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory effectively and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for pricing and inventory management.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
