Florist Job Responsibilities – Floral Design & Guest Experience

• Create bespoke floral arrangements for guest villas, public spaces, dining venues, and special events, reflecting the property’s luxury brand and seasonal themes.
• Maintain fresh flowers and plants throughout the property, ensuring displays are immaculate and consistently replenished to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
• Collaborate closely with housekeeping, events, and F&B teams to fulfil specific floral requests and enhance guest experiences.
• Consult with guests and leadership on floral preferences, providing expert advice and creative solutions for occasions such as weddings, private functions, and VIP arrivals.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and stock control of fresh flowers, supplies, and decorative accessories, maintaining exceptional care and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure the safe handling, preparation, and storage of all floral materials in accordance with health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
• Uphold sustainability best practices by minimising waste and maximising the longevity of floral displays.

Key Skills and Attributes for a Luxury Property Florist

• Proven experience as a Florist, Floral Designer, or in a similar creative role, preferably within luxury hospitality or premium events environments.
• Strong artistic sensibility and advanced knowledge of floral arrangement techniques, colour coordination, and current design trends.
• Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality in every arrangement.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for creating guest-centric, memorable experiences through floral artistry.
• Organised, efficient, and able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility, including occasional work during weekends or events as required.
• Respect for guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Florist Role Requirements – Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrable experience in floral design, with a comprehensive portfolio showcasing a range of styles and occasions.
• Relevant training or certification in floristry (preferred but not required if experience is extensive).
• Knowledge of flower care, plant identification, and handling techniques for a wide variety of cut and potted botanicals.
• Previous experience supporting luxury hotels, exclusive venues, or private estates highly desirable.
• Fluency in English and excellent interpersonal skills.
