Food & Safety Officer (Hospitality)- Riyadh

Job Purpose:

The Food and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all food handling, preparation, and storage processes within the company comply with local and international food safety standards. The role involves conducting regular inspections, implementing hygiene and safety policies, training staff, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements to guarantee safe and high-quality food operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in all outlets and production areas.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of kitchens, storage rooms, and service areas.
• Implement and maintain HACCP and ISO 22000 food safety management systems.
• Investigate non-conformities, product complaints, or incidents and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Maintain accurate records for inspections, temperature logs, pest control, and cleaning schedules.
• Provide training and awareness sessions for kitchen and service staff on hygiene and food safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with local municipality and SFDA (Saudi Food & Drug Authority) regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure all products meet safety standards.
• Support the management team during internal and external audits.
• Stay up to date with current food safety legislation and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Food Safety Officer or in a similar role within the hospitality or F&B industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and local Saudi food safety regulations.
• Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing.
• Ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
• Preferred: Saudi National
