THE POSITION

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be capable of drafting complex motions, handling court appearances, and working closely with clients, court personnel, and opposing parties. We are looking for a dedicated, proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time, exempt position and is expected to work out of our Baltimore office . The standard schedule is 38 hours per week, with hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays, with flexibility to work a hybrid-remote schedule after 90 days of successful employment in good-standing with the firm.


RESPONSIBILITES

  • Independently manage a foreclosure caseload, working cases from beginning to end.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, investors, and adversaries to ensure timely progress and resolution of foreclosure cases.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with court personnel to effectively manage case timelines, filings, and procedural requirements.
  • Oversee and mentor support staff, providing guidance on tasks related to legal documentation and client communication.

REQUIRMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience handling foreclosure matters in Maryland
  • JD from an accredited law school;
  • Admitted to practice in Maryland;
  • Experience with mortgage foreclosure law, secured transactions, FDCPA, state and federal consumer protection laws, and general commercial litigation preferred;
  • Superb legal analysis, legal writing and editing ability
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills;
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Leadership qualities, ability to manage support staff
  • Independent worker
