Foreman - Steel Fabrication

Industry: Structural Steel Fabrication, Welding & Metal Works

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily workshop fabrication and welding activities.
• Allocate work to welders, fabricators, helpers, and painters.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensure welding, cutting, grinding, assembly, and fabrication works meet quality requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed items.
• Coordinate material requirements with the workshop engineer and storekeeper.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Enforce company safety procedures and workshop regulations.
• Report daily progress, manpower attendance, and production status to management.
• Assist in resolving fabrication and production issues on the workshop floor.
• Coordinate loading, dispatch, and site delivery of fabricated items when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Foreman in a steel fabrication, welding, or metal works workshop.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings and workshop processes.
• Experience supervising welders and fabricators.
• Good understanding of welding, cutting, fitting, and assembly activities.
• Ability to manage manpower and achieve production targets.
• Basic knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Structural steel fabrication.
• Architectural metal works.
• Stainless steel fabrication.
• Site installation coordination.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Education:

• Diploma (Required)

Experience:

• Steel fabrication: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• UAE driving license (Required)
