Requirement Details
- Work location JA Stockyard and lay down area (Cast house 1,2,3 both product area foundry and billet and stock storage area in CH 2 garage yard)
Scope of Work
- Safe loading and unloading of aluminium products (To all destination JA CFS, KP CFS, KP BULK and to Local customer)
- Scarp receiving and distributing to different location as per production requirements
- Internal shifting of stock orders from different area upon request
- Stacking and material movement inside the stockyard
- Stock order covering with tarpaulin upon request from production planning (Tarpaulin will be provided)
- Assisting with logistics and stock handling activities
- Compliance with all site safety procedures
Operator Qualifications
- Certified forklift operators with valid licenses
- Minimum [1 year] of experience in material handling (preferably aluminium/metal products)
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices
- On job training and assessment required for each and every operator before perform our stockyard operation as we are dealing with direct customer to avoid any
Pre-Loading Inspection
- Check cargo condition (for any scratches or damage).
- Verify weight and dimensions against transport capacity.
Product Quality & Condition
- Material must be free from damage or deformation during handling and loading.
- Avoid dragging, or dropping cargo.
- Maintain load balance to avoid tipping or shifting during transport.
- Loading must be done carefully with forklifts to prevent dents or scratches.
- Conduct a final inspection before releasing the cargo
Documentation & Communication
- Record cargo condition before and after loading.
- Inform supervisor or shift in charge immediately if any irregularity is found
Before Job Starts
- Ensure walkways, pathways, and access roads are free from obstacles and debris.
- Remove standing water, oil spills, or slippery substances.
- Area housekeeping to maintain in the yard and offices with 5S standard on daily basis.
- Inspect forklifts or devices for cleanliness and safety and check list.
- Ensure tools are in designated storage locations.
- Verify that safety signs and markings (loading zones, pedestrian paths, emergency exits) are visible and clear.
- Remove any tripping hazards (cables, loose materials, straps).
- Material & Stock
- Return unused materials to designated storage locations.
- Properly stack and secure materials to prevent falling or damage.
- Remove scrap, waste, or packaging materials from the yard.
- Work Equipment & Tools
- Clean and return forklifts to proper parking area.
- Report and tag any defective equipment for maintenance.
- General Area
- Sweep and clear dust, debris, and waste from loading/unloading area
- Ensure hazardous waste is collected and disposed of in the correct bins.
- Secure gates, locks, and barriers before leaving.
- Safety
- Switch off unnecessary lighting and power supplies.
- Record housekeeping activities in the daily logbook.
