Position Overview:

BEL KAZAN is seeking an experienced Designer to support our creative team in the development of seasonal collections. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about ethical fashion, design, and the storytelling behind every garment. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong technical and organizational skills and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is a freelance, hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Designer with concept development, color palettes, and print direction
• Create detailed technical flats, CADs, and line sheets for each collection
• Support in preparing tech packs, construction details, and BOMs
• Research trends, silhouettes, and trims aligned with BEL KAZAN’s design ethos
• Help coordinate sample development with our Bali and India production team
• Attend fittings and take detailed notes for revisions and follow-ups
• Maintain collection overviews and seasonal line guides

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience or internship in fashion design (contemporary/women’s preferred)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric applications
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on multiple projects
• Strong sense of aesthetic aligned with BEL KAZAN’s modern yet timeless style
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace a plus

Compensation:

$40-$75 per hour (based on experience)
