Freelance Project Manager (Fit-out Industry)

Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out & Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of interior fit-out and construction projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and final handover. Review and assess architectural drawings, BOQs, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Develop and maintain project schedules, progress reports, material tracking logs, and project documentation.

Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and authority requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when required.

Manage subcontractors, procurement activities, and workforce allocation to maximize project efficiency and productivity.

Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and change orders to maintain financial control. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all project sites.

Attend client, consultant, and project coordination meetings, providing updates and resolving technical or operational issues.

Lead, mentor, and supervise site engineers and project teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.

Coordinate closely with design, engineering, civil, interior fit-out, and MEP teams to ensure seamless project integration.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering,

Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5–8 years of UAE experience in construction, interior fit-out, or project management.

Strong technical knowledge of civil works, interior fit-out processes, and MEP coordination. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software; experience with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tools is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with interior fit-out contractors or design-and-build companies in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations, approvals, and construction compliance requirements.

Experience managing commercial, retail, hospitality, residential, or mixed-use interior fit-out projects.
