Freight Dispatcher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freight Dispatcher to coordinate and oversee the timely movement of freight across our fleet of 53' dry vans. In this vital role, you will serve as the central communication hub between drivers and clients, ensuring shipments are dispatched efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in transportation management systems, logistics, and analysis will drive operational excellence, optimize routes, and enhance overall supply chain performance. Duties

• Coordinate daily freight dispatch operations by assigning shipments to appropriate drivers based on delivery schedules, capacity, and geographic considerations.
• Utilize transportation management systems to plan routes, track shipments, and update delivery statuses in real-time.
• Monitor GPS data to optimize routes, improve delivery times, and reduce costs.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter accurate data related to freight movements, shipping & receiving logs, and fleet management into various platforms i
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays; implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage shipping documentation, coordinate with 3PL providers (third-party logistics), and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Support fleet management activities by tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and driver availability using GPS tools.
• Assist with freight planning by analyzing supply chain data to improve overall logistics operations.

• Effective dispatching abilities with experience managing freight movements across multiple channels.

• Proficient typing skills along with experience using multi-line phone systems for quick response times.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL coordination.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $78,000.00 per year
