FREIGHT FORWARDING - Export Manager

Job Summary:

Webtrans Logistics, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Operations Coordinator to join our international logistics team. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate all aspects of ocean and/or air export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, compliance with international regulations, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate full-cycle export shipments, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, and arranging transportation.
• Communicate with carriers, customers, overseas agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth handling of export shipments.
• Prepare and review export documentation (e.g., HBL, MBL, AES filing, commercial invoice, packing list).
• Track and trace shipments and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international export regulations (e.g., EAR, FMC, AES).
• Maintain accurate records in the TMS or freight forwarding software system.
• Provide excellent service to clients and keep them informed of shipment status.
• Assist with billing and invoicing related to export transactions.
• Continuously look for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in export operations within a freight forwarding company.
• Knowledge of ocean freight documentation and procedures (air freight experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with U.S. export regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with Opus or similar logistics software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English and Korean) is required.
• Experience handling shipments to/from Asia or other international markets.
