We are starting a new freight business in the USA and are looking for a highly experienced sales professional to lead and grow our freight unit. Our focus is on building strong customer relationships, generating leads, and closing deals across domestic and international freight markets.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities in trucking, logistics, and freight forwarding.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with shippers, carriers, and brokers.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
- Create and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth handling of shipments.
- Understand market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in freight sales / logistics / trucking / transportation industry.
- Strong book of business and ability to bring in clients from day one.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Ability to work independently and set up the freight unit from scratch.
- In-depth knowledge of US freight industry, lanes, carriers, and compliance.
