Job Summary

Value Engineering is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Planning & Estimation Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates in Civil Engineering who are eager to develop hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and documentation within a professional engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project plans, schedules, and timelines using planning tools.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Help monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
• Assist in material, labor, and cost analysis for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Maintain and organize planning and estimation documentation.
• Coordinate with project, site, and procurement teams to gather required data.
• Support senior engineers in tendering, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Learn and apply industry standards, best practices, and company procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Basic understanding of construction planning and estimation concepts.
• Familiarity with tools such as MS Excel (mandatory); knowledge of MS Project / Primavera is a plus.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
