Overview
Fairfield by Marriott is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team. As the face of our hotel, you will provide outstanding service to every guest while handling daily front desk operations with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, enjoys helping people, and thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring all front desk operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly.
  • Manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently and accurately, ensuring all guest information and payment details are correct.
  • Handle phone calls and reservations through the hotel’s system in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability, rates, and guest accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms and public areas meet brand standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
  • Process guest requests, complaints, and special accommodations with attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Assist with breakfast preparation and guest flow during morning hours when needed, ensuring the breakfast area remains stocked, clean, and guest-ready.
  • Perform administrative or reporting tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college coursework or hospitality training a plus.
  • Candidates without formal education are encouraged to apply if eager to learn, grow, and build a career in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous customer service or hotel experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning hotel property management systems (training provided).
  • Ability to remain professional, courteous, and calm under pressure.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work morning (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) or evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp-to-hire

Base Pay: From $11.00 per hour
