Front Desk Receptionist

Key Responsibilities:

· Registers guests and assigns rooms, accommodates special requests whenever possible.

· Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, checks cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures.

· Understands room status and room status tracking.

· Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.

· Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.

· Possesses a working knowledge of reservation department, takes same day reservation and future reservation when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.

· Uses proper telephone etiquette

· Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to Supervisor or designated Manager.

· Post charges to guests’ accounts.

· Transfer guests’ balances to other accounts as required.

· Handle cash, travelers, cheque, credit cards and direct billing requested properly.

· Responsible of keeping and releasing guests passports.

· Implements & control the policies and regulation related to staff Health & Safety,

Grooming, Service & Hygiene.

· Performs any other duties as assigned to her/him by management.

· Assist other departments, as necessary

· Ensure that all employees have a clear understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures related to Total Quality Management/Environmental Management/ Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
