Front Desk Receptionist

Position Overview

The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and partners. This role ensures a warm, professional, and efficient experience at the reception area while supporting daily administrative and customer service operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Reception & Customer Service — Welcome patients, manage check‑ins, and provide accurate information about services, schedules, and clinic processes.
  • Call Handling — Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly; manage appointment inquiries and follow‑ups.
  • Appointment Scheduling — Book, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the clinic’s system; ensure accuracy and minimal scheduling conflicts.
  • Registration & Documentation — Collect patient information, verify IDs/insurance cards, and ensure all forms are completed correctly.
  • Insurance Coordination — Assist with basic insurance verification, eligibility checks, and coordination with the insurance team when required.
  • Payments & Billing Support — Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate daily cash and transaction logs.
  • Front Desk Management — Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Administrative Support — Assist with filing, data entry, correspondence, and other administrative tasks assigned by management.
  • Customer Experience — Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate issues to the appropriate department when needed.
  • Confidentiality & Compliance — Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to clinic policies and DHA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office and clinic management systems.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of UAE healthcare environment and insurance processes is an advantage.
