Chua Plastic Surgery & Diamond Surgical Suites
La Mesa, CA | Part-Time Position
Must be available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Chua Plastic Surgery and Diamond Surgical Suites are seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of both our plastic surgery practice and accredited surgical facility.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and has experience working in a medical office. A strong understanding of plastic surgery procedures, patient care, and insurance verification is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls for both Chua Plastic Surgery and Diamond Surgical Suites
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and provide exceptional customer service
- Coordinate scheduling and communication between patients, surgeons, providers, and clinical staff
- Verify, collect, and accurately enter patient insurance information
- Assist patients with insurance-related questions and obtain authorizations when applicable
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system
- Collect patient payments and process transactions
- Prepare patient documentation including work notes, occupational therapy notes, school notes, imaging orders, and other medical correspondence as needed
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, text message, and patient communication platforms
- Assist with patient check-in, check-out, and completion of required paperwork
- Support daily front office operations and administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office, plastic surgery practice, or surgical center preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, patient benefits, and authorizations
- Knowledge of plastic surgery procedures and the patient journey from consultation through recovery
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and electronic medical records
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Pay: From $16.90 per hour
