Position Summary: The Receptionist will work full-time under the supervision of the Tribal Chairperson & Tribal Council.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones and direct calls to proper department. Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to the appropriate person.
- Greet Tribal members and visitors. Direct them to sign in and notify the appropriate person of their arrival.
- Maintain visitor logs
- Process and log all incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
- Make, collate and distribute copies as requested.
- Maintain office supply inventory, tracking, and request replenishments in a timely manner.
- Monitor mail/copy room equipment to ensure good workflow.
- Maintain professionalism with the general public, government agencies and Tribal members.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess professional telephone etiquette.
- Effective communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Must possess a valid California State Driver’s license.
Under 25 U.S.C. Section 450 (e) and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Indian preference is observed.
Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
