Front Desk Receptionist / Automotive Service Advisor

Jo-Lea Automotive Center is a family-owned and operated automotive repair facility that has proudly served the Peekskill community since 1960. We are known for our honesty, professionalism, and commitment to helping customers understand and maintain their vehicles.

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist / Automotive Service Advisor.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Communicate with customers regarding basic vehicle repairs and maintenance recommendations
• Review invoices with customers and explain repairs in clear, easy-to-understand language
• Coordinate with technicians and management regarding vehicle status updates
• Process payments and maintain accurate customer records
• Assist with general office and administrative duties

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required
• Basic automotive knowledge required
• Ability to explain basic automotive repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using computers, email, and point-of-sale software
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Service advisor experience is a plus but not required

The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, is comfortable discussing vehicle repairs, and understands that trust and communication are critical in the automotive industry. You don't need to be a technician, but you should know enough about vehicles to confidently discuss common repairs, maintenance services, and repair recommendations with customers.

• Monday – Friday
• Saturday mornings
