Job Summary:
Sarasota Medical Hospital is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Front Desk Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, manage front office operations efficiently, and ensure a welcoming environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays when applicable
- Handle patient inquiries and provide general information
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
