Front of House Manager

The FOH Manager works with the General Manager and Kitchen Manager to provide exceptional customer service. The right candidate will lead FOH staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment to ensure exceptional experiences for our guests. Manages FOH staff which includes scheduling, training, and general supervision of all restaurant staff. The right candidate will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards. You’ll oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity. We’ll expect you to lead by example to uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Continuously touching tables and getting to know guests
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper guest service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
  • Oversees opening and closing tasks and balances daily and nightly cash drawers.

Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Open availability. Days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Regularly stand, walk, communicate, carry, bend, stoop, turn, and lift in excess of 35 lbs.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance to make bank deposits
  • Must have computer knowledge and skills
