Front Office Receptionist

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Register patients by collecting personal and medical information accurately.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic's appointment calendar efficiently.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information or redirect calls as necessary.
• Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance-related queries.
• Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurately updated in our electronic database.
• Handle billing processes, including verifying insurance coverage and collecting payments.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff, assisting in various administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Front Office Executive or similar role, preferably in a medical setting.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and general computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is desirable.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
