Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Bookkeeper to join our office/sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all accounting tasks. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and will require a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This position will also assist with Clerical and Administrative Tasks: When not performing job-specific tasks, accounting clerks will assist with office-related sales/customer support duties. These tasks include answering phones/directing calls and providing basic customer support such as answering questions, placing orders, etc.

Duties

  • Organize and Process Financial Transactions.
  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping tasks, able to issue invoices, checks, etc.
  • Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Maintain Financial Filing Systems - utilize accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics/Microsoft GP for data entry and reporting.
  • Prepare Month-End Reports.
  • Conduct credit analysis to assess the financial status of clients or vendors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed.
  • Assist with answering phones, answering customer questions, generating quotes, processing returns, and placing orders.

Skills

  • Computing.
  • Proficiency in journal entries.
  • Financial Reporting.
  • Strong budgeting skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with accounting software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics/GP
  • Knowledge of public accounting principles is a plus.
  • Data Management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Good communication skills for collaboration within the team.
  • Sales/customer support.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required relevant degree or certification is preferred
  • Successful work experience as an accounting clerk, office clerk or in another clerical position
  • Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Great organizational and multitasking abilities

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
