Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Location: Delray Beach, Florida
Job Type: Full Time (not remote)

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper. You will be responsible for handling the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of our general ledger.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
  • Process weekly payroll and timesheets via Paychex.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Assist with forecasting and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets.
  • Process sales tax reports, workers comp submittals and issue statements monthly.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a full-charge bookkeeping or senior accountant role.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Sage, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $46,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Sage: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)
