Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our organization. This pivotal role involves maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing payroll (done by others) reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various accounting software, and a proactive approach to financial management. Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile balance sheets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Oversee payroll management using ADP.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, adhering to GAAP standards.
  • Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and assist with internal audits as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping or a similar role within corporate or construction-type business.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Workday, UltiPro, Kronos or equivalent systems.
  • Experience with payroll management systems such as ADP or Paychex is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance procedures and government reporting standards.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing preferred) and strong math abilities.
  • Ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet review, and journal entries efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts related to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, tax preparation, and audit support.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
