Full Charge Bookkeeper for a fun, relaxed managed services provider

Full Charge Bookkeeper and Operations Manager
Tenrec Inc. is a managed services provider focused on enterprise-level website management for B2B companies across the US. We are "west coast centric" but employ team members in several time zones and our company is fully remote.

We are looking for a new bookkeeper to manage our books and to lead some aspects of operations. Qualified candidates must be very detail-oriented, organized and thorough. Experience managing the books for a professional services agency is a plus.

  • We use Quickbooks online for our books, ADP for payroll and ClickUp for project management

To thrive in this role, you'll need to be comfortable working independently and being proactive communicating with a remote team.

This position is 20-30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full charge bookkeeping including AP, AR, payroll, invoicing, financial reporting
  • Manage and report on cash flow
  • Track accounts and report on company financial performance
  • Close financials after each month and at fiscal year end
  • Prepare annual financials and provide them to our CPA, support CPA through tax preparation and filing

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of accounting and small business financial management experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Deep knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Extensive experience with spreadsheet software (MS Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Ability to engage in professional business correspondence (emails)
  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or commensurate training

Additional but Optional Skills & Experience:

  • Sales support experience
  • Human resources management
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Drive
