We are currently hiring a Full-Time Dog Walker & Pet Care Provider to serve our Madison, CT area.

This role is ideal for a mature, dependable animal lover who enjoys working independently, takes pride in being on time and prepared, and is excited to grow with a respected local company.

What You’ll Do

• Walk dogs safely and confidently in all weather conditions
• Handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
• Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
• Provide basic care for dogs and cats (medication administration experience is a plus)
• Engage in playtime activities with pets to promote physical and mental stimulation
• Clean cat and other small pets' litter and cages and sweep surrounding area
• Follow specific instructions provided by owners regarding their pets' care and behavior
• Drive between visits using your own reliable vehicle
• Represent the company professionally in clients’ homes and neighborhoods
• Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions they may have

Who You Are

• Experienced with dogs and comfortable managing multiple types of personalities
• Reliable, punctual and take personal responsibility seriously
• Calm under pressure and able to think critically in real-time situations
• Enjoy working independently while staying connected to a team
• Tech-comfortable and able to use scheduling/reporting apps
• Local to the Madison shoreline area
• Available for a consistent full-time weekday schedule

Job Requirements

• Genuine love for both dogs and cats, with a strong understanding of animal behavior
• Proven experience confidently handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures and schedules accurately
• Strong time-management skills and personal accountability for maintaining a consistent route
• Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs daily in all weather conditions
• Comfortable assisting large or strong dogs when needed, including occasional lifting or support
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license, registration, and insurance
• Willingness to safely transport dogs in your vehicle when required
• Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit reporting
• Pet CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
