Full-Time Live-In or Live-Out Nanny | Colts Neck, NJ

A warm and welcoming family in Colts Neck, NJ is seeking an experienced, proactive, long-term Live-In or Live-Out Nanny to care for their four wonderful children (ages 6, 4, and 2.5-year-old twins). This is the family's first time hiring a full-time nanny, and they are looking for someone who is excited to become a long-term part of their family. The ideal start date is flexible for the right candidate.

This is a 40 guaranteed hour per week position with the opportunity to work up to 50 hours per week as needed, with all additional hours paid accordingly. Compensation is $30–$34 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, overtime pay in accordance with applicable law, and a family vehicle provided during work hours. Live-in accommodations include a private bedroom and private bathroom, along with meals provided.

All four children attend school or daycare during the week. Dad commutes into New York City each morning, while Mom works full-time from home. The nanny will work collaboratively alongside Mom and will not be expected to independently care for all four children at once. During school hours, the nanny will complete child-related responsibilities, help keep the children's spaces organized, prepare meals and snacks, children's laundry, and assist with planning for the afternoon routine.

Responsibilities include assisting with the children's morning and evening routines, daycare drop-off and pick-up, welcoming the children home after school, preparing healthy meals and snacks, helping with homework, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, encouraging learning through play and reading, assisting with bath and bedtime routines, preparing backpacks and lunches for the following day, keeping children's bedrooms and play areas organized, loading and unloading the dishwasher related to the children's meals, and supporting the family's daily routines. There may also be occasional Saturday evening babysitting for date nights.

The ideal candidate is warm, loving, energetic, organized, and highly proactive. The family is looking for someone who naturally takes initiative, anticipates the children's needs, enjoys creating structure and routines, and doesn't wait to be told what to do. They would love someone who becomes a reliable, long-term part of their family and enjoys working as part of a team with Mom.

Qualified applicants should have a minimum of three years of recent professional nanny experience, experience caring for toddlers and school-aged children, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment), excellent professional references, and legal authorization to work in the United States. Because the family has a swimming pool and one of the children is currently learning to swim, applicants must also be confident swimmers who prioritize water safety at all times.
