Full-Time Nanny in Bellevue

Job Summary

A warm and welcoming family in the West Lake Sammamish neighborhood is seeking an experienced, engaging nanny to join their home long-term. The family includes Mom (who works from home), Dad, a bright and energetic 3.5-year-old daughter, and a baby boy due in May. They are hoping to find a nanny who can grow with their family and become a trusted part of their daily rhythm.

Their toddler is social, curious, and full of energy. She loves movement, outdoor play, neighborhood walks, park visits, and interactive activities. The home is located in a very walkable area with nearby parks, walking paths, and a local library—perfect for daily adventures.

Mom will initially be working from home and prefers the nanny focus on in-home play and walkable outings until everyone builds trust and familiarity. The role will primarily focus on the toddler until the baby arrives, with a gradual transition into supporting both children later in the year.

The family values honest communication, emotional intelligence, reliability, and mutual respect. They are looking for someone who feels like a true extension of the family and who brings warmth, initiative, and a playful spirit to the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for a 3.5-year-old toddler and eventually a newborn (due in May)
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and development
• Encourage outdoor play including neighborhood walks, park visits, and local outings
• Support the toddler’s emotional development through gentle guidance and positive communication
• Assist with daily routines including meals, snacks, playtime, and rest transitions
• Prepare simple meals and snacks for the toddler
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in all child-related areas
• Wash baby bottles and pump parts as needed
• Complete baby and toddler laundry
• Help keep play areas and children’s spaces tidy and organized
• Facilitate occasional playdates or age-appropriate outings such as the park or library
• Communicate openly with parents regarding schedules, routines, and developmental milestones
• Work collaboratively with a work-from-home parent while maintaining a calm and engaging environment for the child

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of recent professional nanny experience, particularly with toddlers and infants
• Newborn care experience required and confidence supporting a family transitioning to two children
• Ability to provide at least three excellent references from previous long-term nanny positions
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Valid driver’s license with a safe, insured, and reliable personal vehicle
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Comfortable with W-2 employment and payroll processing
• Ability to commit to a long-term position and grow with the family
• Must reside in or be able to commute to the Greater Seattle area
• Comfortable working in a home with two cats
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance and provide advance notice for schedule changes when possible
• Willingness to pass a background check and identity verification
