Job Purpose:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure funding for the organization through individual donations, corporate partnerships, events, and grant applications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of the organization’s programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising plans and targets.

Identify new funding opportunities and donor segments.

Monitor fundraising performance and adjust plans to meet targets.

Donor Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other stakeholders.

Ensure timely donor communication, acknowledgment, and reporting.

Grant Writing & Proposal Development

Research, write, and submit grant proposals to national and international donors.

Maintain a calendar of proposal deadlines and reporting requirements.

Fundraising Events & Campaigns

Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, donor events, and public engagement activities.

Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote campaigns.

Team Supervision & Collaboration

Supervise fundraising assistants or volunteers if applicable.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., programs, finance, communications) to align efforts.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, donor engagement, and financial outcomes.

Ensure donor database and records are accurately maintained.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field. Master’s preferred.

Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in fundraising, business development, or donor relations.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing.

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office and donor management software

Preferred Attributes:

Knowledge of the NGO or nonprofit sector, especially health, or women empowerment initiatives.

Experience working with international donors or CSR departments.

Innovative mindset and results-driven attitude.
