Responsibilities

• Provide advice on plants, gardening techniques, lawn care, floral design, and landscape maintenance to customers seeking inspiration or assistance
• Maintain attractive and healthy garden displays by watering, pruning, planting, and performing routine landscape maintenance tasks
• Support the stocking and merchandising of gardening supplies, tools, plants, and seasonal items to ensure an organized and inviting shopping experience
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for retail transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
• Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about horticulture practices, and promote seasonal promotions or e-commerce options
• Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked by managing inventory levels and performing regular stock checks
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and deliver exceptional customer service in multiple languages if applicable

Requirements

• Passion for gardening, horticulture, floral design or landscape maintenance with some prior experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
• Basic knowledge of retail operations including cashiering, POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures
• Organizational skills to manage stock levels and merchandising displays efficiently
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting plants or supplies safely
• Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills to engage positively with shoppers of all backgrounds
• Willingness to learn about lawn care techniques, landscape maintenance practices, e-commerce platforms, and store procedures

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
