Gardener

The job purpose is to maintain and enhance the beauty of landscape areas, gardens, and lawns. This role involves planting, nurturing, and trimming plants, trees, and shrubs, as well as ensuring the overall health and appearance of the outdoor environment.

Planting and Cultivation:

• Plant and maintain a variety of flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants according to the landscape plan.
• Prepare soil, plant seeds, bulbs, or plants, and ensure proper spacing and arrangement.

Maintenance and Care:

• Water plants, lawns, and gardens as needed to maintain optimal health and growth.
• Prune trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth and an attractive appearance.
• Mow, edge, and fertilize lawns to keep them lush and well-maintained.

Pest and Weed Control:

• Identify and remove weeds and invasive plants from garden beds and lawns.
• Monitor and treat plants for pests, diseases, and other problems using safe and effective methods.

Seasonal Care:

• Perform seasonal gardening tasks such as mulching, leaf raking, and preparing the garden.
• Plant and care for seasonal flowers and plants to maintain year-round garden aesthetics.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and in good working condition.

Landscape Design Assistance:

• Assist in the planning and design of new garden layouts and landscape features.
• Implement landscape designs, including the installation of paths, fences, and water features.

Plant Health and Growth:

• The overall health, growth, and appearance of plants, trees, and shrubs.

Lawn Quality:

• The condition and appearance of lawns, including uniformity, color, and absence of weeds.

Garden Cleanliness and Orderliness:

• The tidiness and cleanliness of garden areas, including the absence of litter, debris, and weeds.
