Gen AI Engineer

About the role:

In this role you will be building modern AI systems for retail applications, ranging from Chatbots to Image Generation pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• AI Services: Build, deploy, maintain, monitor and optimize AI services such as chatbots, RAG pipelines, image generation pipelines, MCP servers, and Agentic pipelines.
• Deployment : Develop backend API services in Python. Key skills: CI/CD, FastAPI and Authentication methods
• Data : Prepare and transform data needed for AI systems - such as for embeddings and fine-tuning data - using Pandas/SQL/PySpark
• Demos: Build simple demos of AI Applications with front end interfaces
• Monitoring: Monitor and optimize existing AI systems to ensure high performance and reliability
• Collaboration: Collaborate with relevant teams such as Data Engineering, Product, Security, Legal teams
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest AI/ML advancements to incorporate new techniques and technologies into our platform.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for AI systems

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
• AI Services: 1+ years work experience building and operating AI-driven services in production environments
• Deployment: 2+ years work experience in Python backend development: FastAPI, CI/CD and authentication/authorization patterns
• Data: 1+ years work experience using PySpark, Pandas or SQL
• Deep AI Interest: Strong understanding of AI and Machine Learning AI algorithms.
• Cloud : Proficiency with cloud services such as Azure.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
