General Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant with a strong background in Real Estate accounting and current experience in the Holiday Homes industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
• Handle daily accounting transactions related to property management, rental income, and operational expenses of holiday homes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and vendor accounts.
• Monitor receivables and payables to ensure timely collections and payments.
• Manage revenue recognition, booking commissions, and occupancy-based income reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate with property management and operations teams for cost allocation and expense tracking.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other applicable financial laws.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders when necessary.
• Support management with financial analysis and reports for decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the Real Estate or Holiday Homes sector.
• Strong knowledge of property accounting principles, revenue recognition, and lease management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, or Zoho Books).
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
