General Accountant

Location: Prospera Investments – Business Bay & Various Locations

Industry: Multi-group companies (Healthcare / Construction / Food & Beverage)

Reporting To: Company Managers / Group Manager / CEO

Role Overview: The Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations

across multiple subsidiaries within the Group. This role manages

consolidated budgets, tracks inflows and outflows at the corporate

level, monitors sales performance by entity, ensures proper allocation

of funds to operating companies, and supports financial reporting,

compliance, and strategic planning for the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

● Track all corporate-level income and expenditures across

subsidiaries.

● Maintain centralised budget, financial records, general ledger

and ensure accurate filing and posting of all transactions.

● Monitor cash flow at group and subsidiary levels, ensure proper

allocation and distribution of funds to operating companies.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

● Oversee inter-company transactions and reconciliations.

● Coordinate with operations teams on billing accuracy regarding

services and projects.

Budgeting, Revenue Analysis & Forecasting

● Assist in preparing annual group budgets, support cost-analysis

and revenue, profitability forecasting.

● Consolidate subsidiary budgets into a master corporate plan.

● Analyse trends and highlight variances or underperforming

services.

● Coordinate with operations and sales teams for billing accuracy.

● Monitor spending limits as per each company, detect any

overspending and/or funding gaps.

Systems & Records

● Maintain accounting systems and financial databases from

different companies.

● Ensure proper filing of financial records using accounting

systems such as Zoho and/or Quickbooks.

Tax & Compliance

● Prepare VAT calculations and submissions.

● Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and

company policies.

● Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory

reviews.

● Assist external auditors during annual audits.

● Support WPS payroll reconciliations with HR.

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Any

additional certification is desirable.

● CMA - certified management accountant

● 1-2 years of accounting experience (multi-industry or

corporation groups preferred)

● UAE experience and VAT exposure, Tax Filing are highly

desirable.

● Experience with accounting software (e.g., Preferably Zoho and

QuickBooks, etc)

Skills & Competencies:

● Strong analytical and working knowledge on accounting

principles.

● High attention to detail and accuracy.

● Knowledge of UAE VAT and regulatory practices.

● Excellent organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines

and manage multiple priorities.

● Professional communication and confidentiality.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
