General Accountant

A Leading Liner Shipping, and Freight Forwarding company is currently hiring a General Accountant. Preference to be given to candidate holding min 1 year work experience within Liner Shipping, and Freight Forwarding Industry.

Job Description:

• · Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• · Good working knowledge of Finance/Accounting Systems
• · Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• · Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• · Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• · Book-keeping.
• · Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• · Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• · Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• · Support month-end and year-end close process
• · Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• · Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures.

Requirement:

• · Open to all nationalities. Preferably ARABIC SPEAKERS.
• · Preferably Male candidate.
• · Professional Accounting Qualifications. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
• · Business Valuation & Analysis Skills
• · Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• · In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and awareness of business trends.
• · Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• · Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• · Hands-on experience with software packages – Esp. Oracle
• · Advanced MS Excel skills.
• · Accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
